I installed Lexmark_Network_TWAIN_Scan, but this made no difference I have just built a new PC, and would really like to get this printer working as a network printer.Ĭan anyone suggest what could be going on, and how I might resolve the problem? I did so, but this was very disappointing, since I purchased the printer for use as a network printer.
However, the engineer was unable to help, and concluded by saying that I should use a USB connection instead of an Ethernet connection. I spent a long time discussing the problem with Lexmark, including a 2-hour session with a Lexmark engineer having remote access to my PC. Some time ago, I tried installing the driver on a Windows 7 64-bit PC, and it had the same problem. (Incidentally, there is also an HP multifunction printer installed on the network, and the driver for that printer is also located in the Windowstwain_32 folder, and that scanner works perfectly.) There is a driver in the Windowstwain_32LexmarkNetworkTWAIN folder, but no driver in the Windowstwain_64 folder. I have checked the presence of the TWAIN driver in the Windows folder. When the initial installation did not work, I installed Lexmark_Network_TWAIN_Scan, but this made no difference. I have tried VueScan, another program that uses the TWAIN driver and should work with any printer that uses a TWAIN driver, but this had similar problems. Please try again, or for troubleshooting information, see Help and Support or the information that came with the scanner.” However, on completing the scanning, the following error message appears: “A problem prevented the document from being scanned. Windows Fax and Scan can see the printer TWAIN driver (reporting it as “Lexmark CX510de (Lexmark)”), and the program appears to proceed with the scan.
I installed the printer driver on a PC running Windows 10 64-bit, but there is a problem with the TWAIN driver. I am trying to set up a Lexmark CX510de printer, using the TWAIN driver to scan across an Ethernet network.
